TMNR Locos

The sole loco was modelled - rather roughly! - on the BR Class 71 (E5001 etc).

It is an eight wheeled loco, made of a plastic body shell on a mild steel chassis and two 4 wheeled bogies. The original locos used a two rail DC pick-up system with either an on loco or line side speed controller. Our locos have been converted to 24V DC working using on board batteries and modern electronic speed controllers.

The original motor was a GEC design intended for lawn mowers.

A second loco, an 0-4-0 steam outline shunter was planned, but never manufactured.
